About Me

I don’t recall these events but my mother loves to tell them.  Apparently, at a very young age I had a keen interest in knowing how things worked. I would take things apart (including my toys) to see how they worked.  I do recall, however, taking apart my first motorcycle when I was 15.  I was just curious.  Only two parts left over.

That penchant for seeing how things “tick,” has carried over into my adult life as I work with people, work teams, and companies, helping them to grow and prosper.  I enjoy working with the complexities of people, personalities, and human dynamics, determining how they can be improved upon.

I spent the early years of my life as an electrician working on dozens of industrial and commercial construction projects.  During that time I read a book called, Think And Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill.  It changed my life forever.  His message of “whatever the mind can conceive and believe, you can achieve” opened a whole new world. That book birthed my passion for helping people and workplace teams to grow, prosper, and achieve their potential.  I knew that I had discovered my calling.

As I transitioned out of construction and into the corporate world, I soaked up as much as I could about personal growth through dozens of books and workshops.  I was fortunate that my company encouraged me to earn several certifications in people-development technologies.

In 1995 I ventured out on my own and started Peak Performance Systems Inc.  Although it was scary at first, I never regretted the decision.

Today I feel like the most blessed man on the planet because I get to do what I love, everyday!  I don’t feel like I have a job.  I have a mission and life purpose.

My wife, Carla, and I live in the beautiful Northwest where we enjoy golfing, hiking, snowshoeing, wine tasting, and cycling.
